Professor Gilly Salmon, PhD, PFHEA, NTF, is CEO & Principal Consultant at Education Alchemists Ltd.
She publishes, blogs & presents on innovation and transformation in Higher Education.

Her books E-moderating and E-tivities are considered seminal texts. Her ‘Carpe Diem’ learning design methodology is extensively deployed internationally. 

She is an Adjunct Professor at Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne, Australia, & Visiting Professor at Edge Hill and Derby Universites, UK.

Professor Gilly Salmon has been a learning innovator for more than 30 years  and is one of the world’s leading thinkers in digital and blended learning. She researches and publishes widely on the themes of learning design and evidence-based pedagogical change for online and blend in Higher Education and the exploitation of new technologies of all kinds in the service of learning.

She is the author of the seminal publications E-moderating and E-tivities and the originator and founder of the Carpe Diem learning design methodology. Until very recently she worked as Associate Dean in the University of Liverpool Management School and previously as Pro Vice Chancellor in Education Futures in Australia.
